ISIS claims responsibility for attacking SDF in Syria’s Hasakah
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for targeting a vehicle of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a village east of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
ISIS-run Amaq news agency said in a statement that militants of the group targeted a military vehicle of the SDF in the village of Rad Shaqra east of Hasakah, with an IED.
The vehicle was damaged and four SDF fighters, who were inside it, were injured, Amaq added.
The Monitoring and Documentation Department of North Press has documented 20 attacks by ISIS against the areas of the Autonomous administration of North and east Syria (AANES) and that of the Syrian government since early this year.
Of these attacks, 15 were carried out in AANES-held areas and five in the government-held areas.
