Israeli artillery shelling targets southern Syria’s Quneitra countryside
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces shelled the Saida al-Hanout area in southern Quneitra countryside on Monday evening with at least six artillery rounds, causing material damage to farmland with no reported casualties.
The shelling originated from the Syrian Golan Heights and struck agricultural areas west of the town, a North Press correspondent reported.
Local sources told North Press that the shelling damaged crops and farmland in the targeted areas. No human casualties have been reported so far.
The shelling comes amid increased Israeli incursions and attacks in several parts of southern Syria, as villages near the separation line with the Golan Heights remain on alert.
