234 displaced families leave northern Syria camps for home areas

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A convoy carrying 234 displaced families left camps in northern Idlib on Monday for their hometowns in the southern countryside of the governorate.

The convoy’s departure was sponsored by the Idlib Governorate in cooperation with the Idlib Directorate of Social Affairs, the UNHCR, Munz Organization, the Red Crescent, the Directorate of Emergency Affairs and Disaster Management, according to government media.

The convoy is part of a series of voluntary return convoys aimed at facilitating the return of displaced people to their areas of origin and providing suitable conditions for their return and resettlement after years of displacement.
