Israeli forces cross into Syria’s Quneitra, withdraw later
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Two Israeli army patrols crossed on Wednesday into Syrian territory from separate points in the Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, using heavy military vehicles.
A field source told North Press that Israeli forces advanced into farmlands near the town of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiya in central Quneitra with eight military vehicles, including two tanks and a loader.
The source added that the forces reportedly remained stationed near Tel Krum Jba for several hours before withdrawing around 8 a.m. toward the destroyed city of Quneitra, adjacent to the occupied Golan Heights.
Meanwhile, another Israeli patrol advanced into the village of Ofania in northern Quneitra, where soldiers raided two homes. No arrests were reported, though the incursion sparked fear and tension among local residents, the source added.
