Helicopter crash in Ukraine’s Kyiv kills 18 including interior minister
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Several media outlets reported on Wednesday the news that the Ukrainian Minister of Interior among two other officials and 15 other individuals was killed in a helicopter crash outside the capital Kyiv.
National police said Interior Minister, Denys Monastyrskyi, had been killed alongside his first deputy, Yevheniy Yenin, and other officials in a helicopter belonging to the state emergency service.
The helicopter crashed near a kindergarten in Brovary, killing 18 people, including two children and nine were aboard the helicopter.
A total of 22 people were injured, including 10 children, and they were taken to hospitals in the capital.
However, so far no immediate comment has been released on whether the crash was an accident or as a result of an attack.
The Russian-Ukrainian war has been ongoing since February last year, it killed and wounded tens of thousands from both parties, displaced millions of Ukrainians, and caused massive destruction to Ukraine.
