The U.S. president has repeatedly predicted that the conflict with Iran would end soon. In June, Trump said Washington had reached a deal to end the war, but Reuters reported at the time that the agreement had not been finalized. (Reuters)
The war between the United States, Israel and Iran has continued for nearly six months, with diplomatic efforts focused on ending the conflict and addressing disputes over Iran’s nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz.
