UAE President meets Syrian counterpart Ahmad al-Sharaa

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Tuesday Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa to discuss bilateral ties and cooperation.

The meeting addressed relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in development and economic fields, according to Emirati media.

The two leaders affirmed their commitment to advancing UAE-Syria relations in support of development and a more prosperous future for their peoples.

They also highlighted the importance of a recent visit by an Emirati economic delegation to Syria in strengthening cooperation, establishing frameworks to support economic recovery and developing strategic projects through sustainable development partnerships.

The two sides exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly those affecting the Middle East and their implications for regional security and stability.

They stressed the importance of establishing foundations for regional and international security and stability in the interest of peoples and development.
