Israel arrests five infiltrators on border with Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced On Tuesday the arrest of five individuals on the border between Syria and Israel a day earlier.

The Israeli army said in a statement that a military troop arrested three suspects east of the fence, as they were released and returned to Syrian territory after investigation.

Other two suspects were arrested on the eastern side of the fence when they were trying to cross the Syrian border into Israeli territory, the statement added.

On Dec.30, 2022,  the IDF announced the arrest of two individuals who tried to cross into Israel from Syria through the Golan.

The IDF usually announces the arrest of those who cross the border from Syria’s Golan including shepherds from Quneitra, according to reports.
