Hayat Tahrir al-Sham arrests people from IDPs camp in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Several people from a camp for the displaced near the town of Atma, north of Idlib, were arrested on Tuesday by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham with the aim pressure them to leave the camp.

HTS militants raided the “Our Children Appeal to You” camp near the town of Atma, near the Syrian-Turkish border, north of Idlib, and arrested six people, including the elderly, North Press reported local sources from the region.

The arrest of the displaced came days after HTS sent written notifications to about 80 displaced families in the camp, on the necessity of evacuating the land on which the camp was built within a specified period, otherwise they will be forcibly expelled, according to the same sources.

As the controller of all aspects of life in northwest Syria, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham continues to restrict the population there.
