Russia, Turkey conduct joint patrol in Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Russian military police conducted a joint patrol with the Turkish side in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.
The patrol has been the 88th joint one between the two sides in the region since the Russian-Turkish agreement regarding a ceasefire in northeast Syria.
The patrol, consisting of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles, accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set off from the village of Gharib 15 km east of Kobani.
The patrol passed through the villages of Qaramogh, Jishan, Kharabisan Tahtani, Itoiran Tahtani and Bagdik, to the village of Khana Bandar Khan, in the western countryside of Tel Abyad.
The Turkish military vehicles entered from the gate near the village of Gharib, while the Russian vehicles returned to their center near the town of Sirrin, south of Kobani.
On January 31, the Russian military police conducted the 87th joint patrol with the Turkish side in the western countryside of Kobani.
