Following Turkish bombardment, Russian patrol visits NE Syria’s Derik countryside
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, a Russian patrol visited the village of Ain Diwar, which was recently bombed by Turkish forces, in the countryside of Derik in the far northeast Syria.
“A three- military vehicle patrol of Russia arrived at the site of the bombing, where homes of residents in the village were bombed,” North Press reported a source from the village of Ain Diwar.
“The residents spoke with the patrol members about the points from which Turkey randomly targets civilians’ property, leading to the destruction of homes and the wounding of civilians,” the source added.
“After completing their patrol, they headed to the village of Bana Qasre. It then returned through the border villages to the city of Qamishli,” the source noted.
On February 2, the Turkish military bombarded Ain Diwar village in Derik countryside wounding two civilians and damages their houses.
