Government decisions aim to displace Syrians, opposition movement in Syria’s Suwayda
SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian government decisions aim to displace the Syrian people and hunger them, an opposition movement of Suwayda, south Syria, said Thursday.
This came in a statement by Men of Dignity Movement on Facebook accusing decision makers of Syria of issuing decisions divorced from the reality.
Issuing several decisions recently affect basic necessities for daily living of majority of the people and it is “a blatant violation of the constitution articles and the simplest principles of reason and the laws of justice,” The statement read.
The successive governments have been issuing dangerous and suspicious decisions since the outbreak of the Syrian war on the pretext of supplementing the state’s public treasury, according to the statement.
The country is witnessing “a hike in the value of taxes and customs duties, gradual increase of fuel prices in light of the deteriorating conditions in all service departments in addition to turning blind eye to and hid corruption.”
The movement warned against “the state of tension the country is witnessing which threatens to worsen the conditions as an inevitable result of the systematic policies that work against the interests of the Syrian people.”
