AANES considers Turkish bombardment “breaking the ceasefire”
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) called the Global Coalition, Russia and UN agencies to stop Turkey assaults on northeast Syria.
Yesterday evening, a Turkish aircraft targeted the power station and another oil station in Derik city in the far northeast Syria.
In a statement released today, the Autonomous Administration described the Turkish air strike as “a terrorist aggression”.
It urged both Russia and the US to the necessity of obligate Turkey not to break the ceasefire agreement.
The Autonomous Administration condemned the Turkish air strike considering it as “obvious break of the understandings”.
It stressed its rejection on the Turkish attacks on its regions.
“The Turkish aggression is a revenge to the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) defeat and its thwarted plan that targeted al-Sina’a prison in Hasakah,” the AANES added.
It warned that such attacks are a Turkish attempt to destabilize the region and create chaos to bring terrorism back and achieve its plans which failed to be done for years.
