Biden to meet al-Kadhimi to discuss US-Iraq relations
WASHINGTON, US (North Press) – The US President Joe Biden will meet the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi at the White House on July 26, said American official on Saturday.
Biden and al-Kadhimi will discuss ways to strengthen the economic, political and security relations, in addition to the joint work to ensure the defeat of ISIS.
In an exclusive statement to North Press on July 15, the official military Spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), Col. Wayne Marotto, said that the United States of America will continue its missions to fight the Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria, even after its forces are attacked by militias with objectives similar to those of ISIS.
“The US continues its presence on Iraqi territory at the invitation of the Iraqi leadership to carry out the mission of fighting ISIS,” Marotto added.
