Landmine blast injures four children in Syria’s Idlib
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Four children were injured on Wednesday when a remnant of war explosives detonated in southern Idlib countryside, northwest Syria.
Earlier Wednesday, the HALO Trust said it had documented about 700 people killed or injured by landmines and remnants of war in Syria since the beginning of 2026, averaging one casualty every six hours.
Local sources told North Press that four children were injured when a landmine left by the former Syrian government forces exploded in the town of Talmenes in southern Idlib countryside.
