Turkey seeks to create instability: Manbij Military Council

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, spokesman for the Manbij Military Council, Shervan Darwish, said that the Turkish state and its affiliated armed opposition groups are seeking to create a kind of chaos and instability on all frontlines.

Darwish told North Press that the recent Turkish escalation is to spread fear among the people of the area.

He condemned all Turkish actions and violations in the regions of northeastern Syria.

On Wednesday, Turkey targeted a women’s delegation from the Future Syria Party while visiting the frontlines, in the village of al-Jat, north of Manbij.

The Turkish-backed armed opposition groups stationing in the Turkish base in the village of al-Tokhar al-Saghir targeted the positions of the Manbij Military Council during the visit of the Future Syria Party’s women delegation to the frontlines on March 8.

Turkey frequently target frontlines on daily basis, as the Turkish military bases shell the Manbij Military Council-held areas, from the village of al-Hoshariya, northeast of Manbij, to the Aoun al-Dadat area in the north of the city and ending in the countryside of al-Arima and al-Bab, northwest of Manbij.
