Beheaded body was found in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor countryside

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, residents of al-Shuhail town, 40 km east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria, found the body of an unidentified young man who was beheaded near the al-Shuhail crossing on the eastern bank of the Euphrates.

A local source from the town told North Press that the residents of the town found the body of an unidentified and handcuffed young man on Monday morning.

The young man has been dead for more than three days, and he was killed with a sharp object, according to a report by doctors in the area.  

On February 21, the residents of the town of al-Sabha, 30 km east of Deir ez-Zor, found a beheaded body of a woman in one of the adjacent buildings in the town.

On Monday, unknown assailants on a motorbike shot SDF member and killed him in the town of Thiban, 50 km east of Deir ez-Zor.

The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor is witnessing large-scale assassinations of members of the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF), employees of the Autonomous Administration, notables and residents of the region.
