Four killed and many injured in VBIED in Syria’s Sere Kaniye

SERE KANIYE (RAS AL-AIN) – Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, four people, including children, were killed as a preliminary outcome, and others were wounded in an explosion of a VBIED in the center of the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) north of Syria’s Hasakah.

The Syrian opposition-controlled areas witness a state of security chaos, accompanied by frequent bombings, kidnappings of civilians, and internal fighting, according to media and human rights reports.

Local sources told North Press, on Saturday, that an explosion occurred near the Produce Market in the city of Sere Kaniye, which led to the death and injury of civilians, including children, in addition to material damage to the place.

The city of Sere Kaniye has been under the control of Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups since the Turkish invasion of northeastern Syria in October 2019.

On December 20, 2020, Three people were wounded in an IED explosion inside a shop in the market of the city of northern Syria’s Sere Kaniye.

The death toll of a car bomb explosion on December 10, 2020 at a checkpoint of Turkish-backed armed opposition groups at the entrance to the city of Sere Kaniye has risen to 12, including three Turkish soldiers.
