Three Turkish soldiers killed in bombing of Syria’s Sere Kaniye
(North Press) – The death toll of the car bomb explosion at the checkpoint of Turkish-backed armed opposition groups at the entrance to the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) has risen to 12, including three Turkish soldiers.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that the death toll rose to 12, including two civilians and three Turkish soldiers, in addition to seven members of the civil police and the Sultan Murad group.
The observatory added that the death toll may increase as a result of 14 injured, including critical cases, with Turkish soldiers among the injured.
The city of Sere Kaniye has been under the control of Turkish forces and armed opposition groups since October 2019.
The Syrian opposition-controlled areas are witnessing a state of security chaos accompanied by frequent bombings, kidnappings of civilians, and internal fighting, according to media and human rights reports.
On November 27, three members of the armed opposition groups were killed and others were injured in a car bomb explosion in the village of Tel al-Janab, near the town of Mabrouka in the countryside of Sere Kaniye.
On November 2, an IED detonated in al-Jawza roundabout in the city center of Sere Kaniye, injuring two civilians and causing material damage to the surrounding area.
