An ISIS cell member killed while planting an IED in Deir ez-Zor

A special source told North-Press that an Islamic State sleeper cell member was killed while trying to plant an explosive device, yesterday evening, close to the town of Thaiban, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The source added that two ISIS sleeper cell members were trying to plant an explosive device as it exploded killing one of them, while the other had fled.
Pictures obtained by North-Press showed the body of the deceased person torn into pieces, scattered in the site of planting the IED, while their car was broken down due to the impact of the explosion.
In another context, Counter-Terrorism Units (HAT) of the Internal Security Forces has arrested Khaled Hamid al-Ibrahim in a security operation in the neighborhood of Rumaila in the city of Raqqa.
According to a special source, Al-Ibrahim was an ISIS official (Amir), who was in charge of Fuels sections, during the group’s control of over the city, also he was used to accommodating newly recruited militants of the terrorist group at his guesthouse, while encouraging young people to join the ranks of ISIS.

It’s worth mentioning that the US-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the north and eastern Syria are conducting several security operations against the remaining ISIS sleeper cells on an almost daily basis, as these operations include mutual clashes and gunshots with ISIS militants.
