Airstrikes have been resumed in areas of Idlib and Hama governorates, with more raids launched in the ongoing escalation since late April.
The town of Khan Shaykhun in the southern countryside of Idlib undergone heavy airstrikes by more than 30 airstrikes and explosive barrels within three hours.
Moreover, the Syrian and Russian fighter jets also targeted areas of Zakat and Hasraya in the northern countryside of Hama, and Kafr Sijnah in the southern countryside of Idlib, injuring two people with varying degrees of danger.
On the other hand, members of the UN Security Council, during a closed meeting of the Council, have called on Russia to put an end to the attacks on hospitals in Idlib.
The meeting was held at the request of Germany, Kuwait, and Belgium, while Moscow has rejected “adopting a joint statement condemning the attacks on hospitals”.
The statement expressed grave concern about the bombing of Maarat al-Numan hospital, which took place on 10 July, as its coordinates were provided to the conflict parts in the region to avoid any targeting of the hospital.
