Clashes and mutual bombing occurred after an attempted advance by Syrian government forces in Idlib

Syrian government forces violated the ceasefire on Tuesday at midnight, as they attempted to infiltrate into the southern countryside of Idlib, north-west of Syria, amid mutual artillery targeting between them and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, which resulted in deaths and injuries between the two sides.

Syrian government forces tried to infiltrate the positions of the armed opposition groups on the axis of al-Fatira in Idlib's southern countryside, in conjunction with the bombing of Syrian government throughout the area, which led to the death of 4 members of Syrian government forces and the injury of others, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Violent clashes accompanied by mutual artillery shelling between government forces and armed opposition groups took place in the same axis, causing deaths and injuries among the armed groups.

In a related context, the armed opposition groups bombed positions of Syrian government forces in Hazarin and Kafr Nabl areas in the southern countryside of Idlib.
