Sterilization campaign begins for Autonomous Administration institutions in Kobani

On Monday, the Euphrates Health Authority, in coordination with al-Shaab Municipality in Kobani and the General Directorate of the Environment, launched a campaign to sterilize the Autonomous Administration's institutions and facilities in Kobani to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The member of Health Committee in Kobani, Alaa Atto, told North-Press that the campaign aims to sterilize the Autonomous Administration's institutions and facilities in the city to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, as the campaign began with the sterilization of Kobani Council, the Executive Council of the Euphrates Region and the Center of Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in addition to the health centers.

Atto added that the sterile materials are sprayed on the doors, floors and the walls of the buildings, and that the centers and institutions should be closed for a period of 48 hours, pointing out that the effectiveness of the sterile materials lasts for six months.

The campaign will continue in its first stage for three days, with the participation of about 25 workers from members of al-Shaab Municipality, according to Atto, who added that the campaign will target all Autonomous Administration institutions, schools, institutes and universities.

The Economic Committee in Kobani provided 50 spraying devices to the Health Authority, with the aim of spraying sterilizers in institutions and departments, according to the spokesman of the Economic Committee in the city, Khalil Sheikh Muslim.

On Sunday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria decided to suspend all its official departments, starting from Monday to next Thursday, in order to allow the medical committees to sterilize all public institutions and buildings.
