The Health Authority, in cooperation with the People's Municipality of Qamishli, continues the second day of a campaign to sterilize public facilities, institutions, and buildings of Autonomous Administration offices as part of a series of precautionary measures to prevent coronavirus.
The Director of Health in Qamishli district, Tariq Hammadi, told North-Press that the directorate has coordinated with the Health Authority in al-Jazira region and the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria to distribute awareness-raising leaflets about the virus and organize lectures explaining how to prevent it.
He added that the sterilization of public institutions and facilities is the second step of the Health Authority’s program in taking measures to prevent coronavirus and that today they have finished sterilizing all administrative institutions and buildings of Autonomous Administration bodies in northeastern Syria.
He indicated that tomorrow, Tuesday, will be dedicated to sterilizing public places in Qamishli.
On Sunday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria decided to suspend all of its official departments, starting from Monday until next Thursday, in order to allow medical committees to sterilize all institutions and public buildings.
