An exhibition entitled “I am Not A Kid” for drawing and handicrafts of children was organized by Aridu Organization for Civil Society and Democracy, in the neighborhood of Thakana in Raqqa city.
More than 30 children from the city have participated in the exhibition with a collection of paintings, sculptures, and handicrafts.
“The special importance of the exhibition lies in the fact that it is dedicated to children for the first time,” Erwa Muhammad, the head of Aridu organization told North-Press, noting that it aims to develop children’s talents.
Muhammad pointed out that the organization worked to provide children with all necessary means and tools to complete their artistic projects, which gathered “to form a painting that reflects the situation of each child.”
“I’ve participated in the exhibition with several paintings and I’m ready to participate in other exhibitions,” said 11-year-old Hala Al-Ali.
“I’m very happy because I was able to participate in the exhibition, as I learned a great deal about art,” said Rania Ibrahim, 10 years old girl, expressing her happiness to showing her paintings.
The exhibition will last for three days in order to display children’s paintings and handicrafts.
