Autonomous Administration of N/E Syria offers condolences to Lebanon

SYRIA, (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria offered condolences to the state of Lebanon, the Lebanese people and the families of the victims of the blasts that rocked the port of the Lebanese capital Beirut on Tuesday.

 

In a statement that the Autonomous Administration posted on its official Facebook account, it said "What happened yesterday calls us to stand by Lebanon and the Lebanese."

 

The Administration pointed out that the explosion happened at a time when coronavirus is still spreading, "amid vigorous efforts by Lebanon and its people to achieve stability after the difficult labor that preceded the formation of the last government."

 

Lebanon witnessed an enormous blast that rocked a port in the capital Beirut on Tuesday, which was caused by an explosion of 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate, according to the announcement of the head of the Lebanese government, Hassan Deyab.

 

On TV channels, the Head of Lebanese Red Crescent said on Wednesday that the number of  causlities has reached about 100 people, and that a lot of victims are still under debris, in addition to more than four thousand injured.
