Syrian internal security in Aleppo arrests 7 over drug trafficking
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Internal security forces in Manbij, Aleppo countryside, said on Friday they arrested seven people involved in drug trafficking.
On Aug. 8, the Anti-Narcotics Administration said its units had thwarted an attempt to smuggle a shipment of drugs in southern Quneitra countryside after monitoring a criminal network that was planning to smuggle the shipment out of the country.
Internal security in Manbij said preliminary investigations showed that most of the cell’s activities focused on exchanging stolen motorcycles for drugs to distribute and sell in the area.
It said all those arrested were referred to the competent judiciary to complete the necessary legal procedures.
