The Autonomous Administration in north-eastern Syria has handed over 35 Russian-origin orphan children of ISIS families to an official delegation of the Russian government in the Bureau of Foreign Relations in the city of Qamishli.

In a press conference, Anna Kuznetsova, delegated by the Russian president Vladimir Putin for the Children's Rights expressed her happiness for receiving the Russian children who were in a good health condition, adding: "We will transfer the children to their country today.” The age of the 35 children ranges between 6 to 15.

Early in last March, the Autonomous Administration handed three other children to a delegation of the State Duma.

For his part, Abdulkarim Omar, the co-chair of the Foreign Relations Bureau of the Autonomous Administration called for all the countries to bear their responsibilities regarding their citizens of ISIS families in al-Hawl camp.

There are more than 68,000 people of ISIS families, including thousands of foreign families in al-Hawl camp, south of Hasakah.

A source in the Foreign Relations Bureau of the Autonomous Administration said to North-Press that the Autonomous Administration is in a constant contact with all the countries to receive their citizens of ISIS families, pointing out that the average of the responsiveness of the countries with the Autonomous Administration is good, but those countries are so slow in their legal procedures, according to him.

It is worth mentioning that the Autonomous Administration has handed 170 women and 112 children of ISIS families to their original countries so far, especially after the elimination of the terrorist group by the Global Coalition backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on March 23 of last year.
