Syrian Petroleum Company continues removal of makeshift refineries in Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Petroleum Company on Saturday said that it is continuing operations to dismantle makeshift oil refineries in and around Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria, as part of efforts to protect the country’s natural resources, reduce environmental pollution, and improve public safety.

Majed al-Hadid, Director of Executive Support at the company, said monitoring and removal operations are ongoing across multiple areas.

He added that eliminating makeshift refineries remains a priority to safeguard Syria’s oil resources, protect the environment, and ensure that oil production is managed in accordance with approved legal and technical standards.
