Judicial official seriously injured in Damascus car bombing

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A judicial official sustained serious injuries on Tuesday after an explosive device targeted his vehicle in the Daff al-Shawk neighborhood of Damascus, according to local and Arab media reports.

The injured official was identified as Salah Ahmad al-Saleh, head of the Justice Palace Department in the town of Babila in the Damascus countryside.

Local sources said al-Saleh, originally from Idlib governorate and residing in the Daff al-Shawk neighborhood, was inside his vehicle when the explosive device detonated.

The attack caused severe injuries, including the amputation of one of his legs, according to the sources.

The relevant authorities have not issued an official statement detailing the circumstances of the attack, the nature of al-Saleh’s injuries, or the party responsible for carrying it out.
