Syria condemns Israeli strike on civilian car in Quneitra

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Friday what it described as an Israeli targeting of a civilian vehicle in the countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria.

In a statement, the ministry said the attack constituted “a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law” and reflected “continued aggressive policies that target civilians and endanger their lives, in clear breach of all international norms and conventions.”

The ministry called on the international community to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and to take immediate action to halt what it described as repeated violations.

In the same context, dozens of residents from rural Quneitra staged a protest following the killing of 18-year-old Osama Fahd al-Fahd, who was reportedly targeted by Israeli forces while driving his car near the boundary with the Golan Heights.
