Three civilians injured by Israeli fire in Quneitra
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Three civilians were wounded on Tuesday when Israeli forces opened fire on a group of residents near an improvised checkpoint east of the town of Khan Arnaba in northern Quneitra, according to local sources.
A local source told North Press that a patrol of Israeli forces established a sudden military checkpoint using three Humvees and a Hilux-type vehicle in the eastern outskirts of Khan Arnaba. The source said residents quickly gathered in the area and began chanting slogans demanding the withdrawal of the patrol.
According to the source, the protest escalated when several individuals threw stones at the patrol vehicles. In response, the Israeli forces fired live ammunition directly toward the crowd, resulting in the injury of three civilians with varying degrees of wounds.
The injured individuals were transported to the Golan National Hospital for treatment. Medical staff at the hospital confirmed receiving three cases with gunshot injuries, noting that all were receiving necessary care. No additional details regarding their conditions were immediately released.
