Iran shows readiness to resume nuclear talks with U.S.

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday that Tehran is prepared to resume nuclear negotiations with the United States, but urged U.S. President Donald Trump to adjust his rhetoric toward Iran and its leadership.

In a post on “X”, Araghchi stated, “If President Trump is genuine about wanting a deal, he should put aside the disrespectful and unacceptable tone towards Iran’s Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, and stop hurting his millions of heartfelt followers.”

His remarks came in response to Trump’s earlier announcement that a new round of negotiations with Iran is expected to take place next week, although no further details were provided.

A previously scheduled sixth round of talks between the U.S. and Iran, set for June 15 in the Omani capital Muscat, was canceled following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian positions two days prior.
