Asayish say Turkish forces launched 705 attacks on NE Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) stated on Friday that Turkish forces conducted 705 attacks on Northeast Syria, killing 17 people.

The Asayish released the toll of Turkish airstrikes, detailing the extensive damage and human casualties incurred up to Friday evening.

The Asayish pointed out that Turkish forces used a total of 99 drones, 13 fighter jets, and 573 mortar shells to attack Northeast Syria, resulting in 705 strikes overall.

Since early Thursday, Turkey has conducted extensive airstrikes targeting oil facilities, essential infrastructure, and vast areas across north and northeastern Syria.

The statement further detailed that 17 people have been killed in these attacks, including three military personnel, while 48 others have been injured, nine of whom are military personnel.

The Asayish added that the Turkish forces have relentlessly deployed its full military and technological arsenal over the past few days to target the people of Northeast Syria and devastate essential facilities.

Earlier on Friday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) condemned the Turkish airstrikes, stressing that these aggressions threaten the extensive counterterrorism efforts led by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in collaboration with the U.S.-led Global Coalition.
