Asayish arrest 2 drug dealers in Syria’s Manbij

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) said on Saturday they arrested two drug dealers and seized captagon pills in the city of Manbij in northern Syria.

The Asayish said that on Oct. 18, their specialized anti-drug forces successfully apprehended two individuals involved in drug trafficking after conducting a meticulously planned operation at key locations where they were promoting and using narcotics.

During the arrest, the Asayish discovered 4,000 narcotic pills expertly concealed within a motorcycle. Additionally, an AK-47 rifle along with two magazines was seized during the operation.

The operation followed four days of intensive surveillance, during which law enforcement carefully monitored the suspects and gathered substantial evidence of their illicit activities.

Investigations are currently ongoing with the detained individuals to ensure they are brought before the appropriate judicial authorities, along with the confiscated items.
