SNA factions shell Syria’s Manbij, kill Syrian officer

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) shelled on Tuesday the countryside of Manbij, northern Syria, killing an officer in the Syrian government forces.

The Manbij Military Council stated that Turkish forces and their affiliated SNA factions shelled villages in the countryside of Manbij with heavy artillery.

The statement added that the shelling targeted the densely populated village of Arab Hassan Kabir in the northwest of Manbij, where the village was hit with 17 mortar and artillery shells and 10 rockets.

The shelling hit a post of the government forces, resulting in the death of an officer and injuries to others.

On Oct. 10, Turkish forces and their affiliated SNA factions launched an assault on villages in Manbij, killing two children and injuring three others.
