IED blast in Syria’s Daraa kills, injures government soldiers
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – An improvised explosive device (IED) was exploded on Monday in Daraa Governorate, southern Syria, killed a Syrian government soldier and injured others.
The IED was exploded with a military vehicle of the government forces in the town of Busra al-Harir, north of the city of Daraa.
The explosion was followed by gunfire, which resulted in the killing of one soldier and the injury of three others.
The government forces sent several vehicles to the area, some equipped with anti-aircraft machine guns, and searched the surrounding area for the attackers.
Last Wednesday, a lieutenant colonel was killed, and two government soldiers were injured when a military vehicle was targeted by an IED in northern Daraa countryside.
