Gunmen launch multiple attacks against SDF in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen carried out on Tuesday multiple attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A local source in Deir ez-Zor said that unidentified gunmen attacked an SDF post near the village of Ruwayshid, causing material damage.

Meanwhile, in a separate attack, a military source said two unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on SDF fighters near the village of Hurayza, eastern Deir ez-Zor.

The attack resulted in the killing of an SDF fighter and the injury of another.

Additionally, Iranian-backed militants launched assaults on SDF posts in the towns of Tayyana, Diban, and al-Zur, resulting in intense clashes.

The source added, that the militants eventually retreated toward areas west of the Euphrates River, which are under the control of the Syrian government force and Iranian-backed militias.

No casualties were reported from the clashes.
