SDF’s Abdi shows readiness for dialogue with Turkey

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Mazloum Abdi, Commander in Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said on Friday they are ready for dialogue with all parties to the Syrian conflict, including Turkey.

He added that they would support the dialogue that could end fighting and find a solution to the Syrian crisis.

“We are ready for dialogue with all forces, including Turkey,” Abdi said. “And we will support any dialogue that leads to the cessation of fighting and a political solution to the crisis.”

He indicated that they have always worked to preserve the unity of Syria and prevent the division of its territory.

“We have always worked for the unity of Syrian geography and preventing its division,” the SDF Commander in Chief said.

He stressed that the Syrian government, the regional and international forces should take the situation of the people of North and East Syria into account.

“No step should be taken at the expense of our people and the components of North and East Syria,” he emphasized.

“We suffer a lot in our areas due to the opposition of regional and international forces and the blatant and negative intervention of the Syrian regime, affecting the economic and social conditions in our areas, a truth we are well aware of.”

Abdi pointed out that the Syrian crisis cannot be solved through violence, war, and fighting, saying “Everyone must see this truth, and the crisis cannot be resolved without dialogue.”
