Government attack kills 2, injures 2 others in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Mortar shells by the Syrian government forces fell on Monday at dawn on a civilian’s house in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, killing two people and injuring two others, including children.
A source from the village of Hawaij in the countryside of the town of Diban, east of Deir ez-Zor, said that a mortar fired by the government forces fell on a civilian’s house in the town.
Gunmen affiliated with the Syrian government forces attacked on Sunday at midnight a number of headquarters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor with mortars and artillery fired from the western bank of the Euphrates River, the part run by the government forces and Iranian-backed militias.
As a result, a woman and her 4-year-old daughter were killed and the father and his child were injured, the source added.
However, the injured suffer from serious injuries, according to the source.
