Turkish-backed SNA invades villages of Syria’s Manbij, kills 5 children

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, militants of the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, known as the Syrian National Army (SNA), launched an attack against the northern and western countryside of Manbij region in northern Syria and killed five children.

The Manbij Military Council (MMC), affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said on its official Facebook account that their fighters have countered the attack launched by the SNA factions.

The MMC said the attack was launched from the northern and western countryside of Manbij, and that their fighters countered the attack.

The attack led to the displacement of the people from the border villages between the MMC and the Turkish-backed SNA factions.

Farhad Shami, Head of the SDF Media Center tweeted that the SNA factions “committed a horrific massacre against five children in the al-Muhsunly village, Manbij countryside.”

He said the massacre was committed following an infiltration operation by the SNA militants to the village this morning.

Earlier on Friday, official spokesperson of the MMC announced that their forces countered a ground attack launched by the SNA factions in the northern and western countryside of Manbij.
