Gasoline, cooking gas prices raised in HTS-held areas in NW Syria

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Fuel monopolizing companies in areas under the control of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS – formerly al-Nusra Front) raised on Saturday the prices of gasoline and cooking gas in northwest Syria.

In the past few days, HTS-held areas witnessed a gasoline shortage, and monopolizing companies attributed the causes to technical malfunctions in Turkish ports.

A local source said that al-Arabiya company, one of the six fuel monopolizing companies in Idlib, issued the new prices of gasoline and cooking gas.

The price of one liter of gasoline increased from $1,17 to $1,24 (equals about 14,750 SYP) and from $12,60 to $12,87 (equals about 145,000 – 150,000 SYP) for one cylinder of cooking gas.
