Israeli airstrike claims lives of 3 soldiers in Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli airstrike targeted on Sunday military posts of Syrian government forces in Tartus and Rif-Dimashq Governorates, killing three members and wounding three others.

Syria’s state-run news agency SANA cited a military source as saying, “The Israeli enemy carried out at 20:50 today a missile aggression, targeting some points in Damascus countryside using southeaster Beirut’s air space coincided with another one targeting some points southern Tartus using the Mediterranean air space.”

“Our air defense confronted the aggressions, downed some of the missiles. Three soldiers martyred, three others wounded and material damages registered due to these aggressions,” the report added.

On August 12, two individuals were wounded in Israeli shelling of a village north of Quneitra, southwest Syria.
