ISIS militants killed in airstrike east of Iraq

ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) – On Thursday, Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced the killing of five militants of the Islamic State organization (ISIS) during an airstrike, east the country.

During security operations in Diyala governorate, Iraqi Air Forces “killed the five ISIS militants, with one of them bearing a sniper weapon,” the ministry said in a statement.

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF-Hashd al-Shaabi) announced, yesterday, it started a second security operation to fight the ISIS in the vicinity of Hamrin lake within Iraq’s eastern governorate of Diyala.

The Iraqi forces have conducted eight airstrikes damaging a boat, IEDs, and a post of ISIS including ammunition and different weapons, according to Security Media Cell.
