A medical source supervising the production of the kit said that they are able to detect coronavirus within 30 seconds.
On Friday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria said that the Health Authority will announce the details of the kit within the coming 48 hours. It added that a large number of this device will be produced in local laboratories.
An official source in the Autonomous Administration said that the Administration is the exclusive agent for the Swedish institute in the Middle East, in regard to distribution of the detecting device in the region.
In a telephone conversation with North-Press, director of the Middle East Department at the Swedish PEAS Institute said that, the dExact-Respiratory Self-Test detects lung infections just before the obvious symptoms of coronavirus appear.
North-Press received a document which proves that the Medical Products Agency in Sweden (Government agency) has granted a patent for this device to the institute previously.
"Before the temperature in the human body rises, coronavirus causes inflammation of the lung, which could lead to the death of the infected person," director of the Middle East Department at the Swedish PEAS Institute said.
He stated that they have conducted 500 experiments on infected people in Wuhan city, China in the past.
He added that the Chinese Wuhan Provincial University asked for help from the institute during the outbreak of the epidemic in China at the end of the last year.
“We, in cooperation with Health Authority in North and East Syria, sent this "kit" to the Chinese province, and they told us that the experiments they conducted revealed whether the person was infected with coronavirus within 30 seconds," he added.
In a press conference on Friday, the Health Authority in northeastern Syria announced the invention of a test device that detects coronavirus infection within 30 seconds, in cooperation with the Swedish Health PEAS Institute. Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of Health Authority, said that they, in cooperation with the PEAS Institute for Health Experiments (a center licensed by the Swedish government) have reached a discovery of a device via their experiments.
“The device works by taking a sample from the suspected case of infection. This device is the result of a joint effort between the Health authority and the PEAS Institute," he added.
“We have been working for more than a year and a half with the PEAS Institute, and this device was the latest result of our joint research.”
He stated that the device can recognize the reactions which white blood cells show have to the entry of any foreign body into the human body, including coronavirus, that it does not contain any chemicals harmful to humans, and is not affected by weather conditions.
