On Tuesday, the Turkish President Erdogan has said that his Russian counterpart is studying an offer to exchange the management of the oil fields in Deir ez-Zor, northeastern Syria, indicating that it is possible to make the same offer for the United States president.
This came in his talk to reporters on the plane while returning from the Belgian capital, Brussels, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
Erdogan said: "I made the offer to Mr. Putin that if he provides financial support, we can do the construction and through the oil obtained here, we can help destroyed Syria to get on its feet.” He added that President Putin is studying the offer, noting that he could make the same offer for the U.S. President Donald Trump.
Erdogan also said that the Turkish-Russian relations cannot be sacrificed due to misleading attempts by the media outlets. Erdogan said: "The cease-fire in Syria is proceeding well, even if it is temporary and I hope that it will last and turn into a permanent ceasefire.”
