For the fourth day in a row, the Directorate of Health and municipality in the town of al-Shaddadi, in the south of Hasakah governorate, continue their sterilization campaign for Autonomous Administration institutions and public facilities as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Ali al-Khalaf, the administrator of al-Shaddadi Municipality, told North-Press that four days ago, the Health Authority, in coordination with the al-Shaddadi Municipality, started a campaign to sterilize institutions, facilities and gathering places, and that they took precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Al-Khalaf indicated that they were provided with sterile materials by the Municipal Authority in Hasakah. "We have sterilized all civil institutions, in addition to bakeries and gathering places, to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus among the people," he said.

Last Sunday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria decided to cease work in all of its official departments to open the way for medical committees to sterilize all institutions and public buildings.

The Administration also prohibited, through a statement on Thursday, inter-city travel starting from Saturday, which coincides with the Newroz Day, and the imposition of a quarantine in its areas which begins at six in the morning on Monday, the 23rd of March.
