Suspension of transport in all Syrian directorates due to coronavirus

On Thursday, the Syrian Ministry of Transport has announced that it has completely stopped the work in all directorates and transport departments in the Syrian governorates until April the 2nd.

 

Syrian Ministry of Transport has suspended the work of all transport directorates and departments in all governorates until the 2nd of April 2020, as part of the precautionary measures to deal with the coronavirus, quoting the Syrian official news agency “SANA”.

 

Within the framework of precautionary measures taken by the Syrian government to combat the coronavirus, the Syrian Ministry of Interior announced yesterday, Wednesday, the suspension of works in registering civil status events and granting personal and family cards in the central administration, the Civil Affairs Directorates, the Civil Registry Secretariats and centers in all governorates until April the 2nd.

 

Yesterday, the Governor of Damascus announced the closure of public parks, the government citizen’s service centers and restaurants to enhance protection and prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

Earlier, the Syrian government had announced the suspension of working hours in universities, schools, and public and private technical institutes of all ministries and relevant concerned authorities from 14 March to Thursday the 2nd of April.
