Women meeting discussing the feminist scene in northeastern Syria

On Monday, a group of female activists and activists in the field of civil society and women's issues have discussed in a women’s meeting the strength and weakness points of the feminist scene in northeastern Syria, at the office of a civil organization in the city of Kobani, northern Syria.

Jihan Ahmed, the director of Women Empowerment at Bercav Organization for Civil Society and Democracy, told North-Press that the meeting dealt with women's affairs and concerns at the level of the Syrian situation in general, and the situation of Kurdish women in the region in particular.

Jihan Ahmed added that the meeting included 4 topics, the most important of which are the strength and weakness points of women in northeastern Syria, in addition to the latest developments regarding the Syrian feminist and civil scene, as well as women in successive Syrian constitutions, and women in international agreements, charters and covenants.

The administration of Bercav Organization Organization says that the aim of the meeting is to share the latest developments at the level of Syrian civil work with female activists and human rights activists in the region, in addition to inform them with the events and results of the tenth and last meeting of the Civil Society Support Chamber in Geneva, in conjunction with International Women's Day.
