Damascus integrates NE Syria Social Affairs, Women boards under national ministry

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor on Wednesday announced the completion of the integration of the Autonomous Administration’s Social Affairs Board and Women’s Board into the ministry.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Qabawat said the integration included a comprehensive administrative restructuring involving 390 employees.

Speaking at a press conference, Qabawat said the newly integrated workforce represents a broad cross-section of Syrian society.

“This list is not merely a collection of names. It is a national fabric composed of qualified professionals from all segments of Syrian society, selected carefully based on competence, academic qualifications, and practical experience,” she said.

Qabawat described the merger as part of efforts to strengthen institutional unity, adding that all employees are now operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Syrian state.

“Today, we are all under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Syrian state. We are one map and one flag—Syrian men and women working together to serve the Syrian people,” she said.

The announcement comes amid ongoing efforts to integrate institutions in northeastern Syria into the country’s state administrative framework under agreements reached earlier this year between the Syrian transitional government and the Autonomous Administration.
